Malki Flora started at a kitchen table, with a roll of satin ribbon and a birthday I did not want to give another bunch of flowers for.
Fresh flowers are beautiful for four days. Then they are in the bin, and the person you gave them to has nothing left. I wanted to make something that would still be on a shelf a year later, and still look like the day it arrived.
So every flower here is folded by hand, one petal at a time. A single rose takes about twenty minutes. A large bouquet takes most of a day. I shape each pipe cleaner stem by hand too, which is why no two bouquets are ever quite identical — and why I think they look like someone made them, rather than a machine.
Every order is made after you place it, in the colours you ask for. If you want the blush pink of the photos in deep red instead, or a name on the tag, just say so in your message.
